The new cross-cutting Agro2Ecos project held planning meetings in January and February. Teams from four countries — France, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, and Niger — joined in, as did representatives from numerous other institutions and projects. Agro2Ecos aims to develop models of the generic recycling potential in three contrasting West African sites based on the new sanitation and territorial symbiosis paradigms. As a step toward beginning fieldwork during the Covid-19 pandemic, the project’s partners clarified their complementary strengths and assets.
