Overview:

SEPIA is a group of prominent rural researchers in Peru who have been meeting for over 25 years. The research promoted by SEPIA intends to understand the current process of social and economic transformation of rural societies to inform decision makers and policy process with viable alternatives for an inclusive and equitable rural development. The structure of SEPIA, where multiple generations of researchers come together from different parts of the country to present and discuss research findings, also serves as a important space for capacity building around quality, farmer focused, research. The biennial program for 2017 was focused on (I) Value chains and its impacts in rural development; (II) Inequalities and inequities in rural areas; and (III) Rural landscapes: Territory, basins, and rural development.Vist the meeting website at: http://sepia.org.pe/index.php?fp_cont=1404
